Everything people usually ask, answered plainly. If yours isn't here, email support@thebirdhabit.com and a person will write back.
Where are you located?
The Bird Habit is a US company. Every shirt is printed and shipped from inside the United States, which is also why your order doesn't spend three weeks on a boat.
What are the shirts actually made of?
Comfort Colors® 1717, 100% ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed. Heavyweight, soft from the first wear, and it keeps getting softer. It is not a thin polyester blend that goes see-through by March.
What size should I get?
These run true to size with a relaxed, unisex fit. If you are between sizes or you like room to layer, size up. There is a full size chart on every product page, and if you are still unsure, email us your usual size and we will tell you honestly which one to pick.
How long will it take to get here?
Each shirt is printed after you order it, so nothing sits in a warehouse. Printing takes 2 to 5 business days, then delivery inside the US is usually another 3 to 5 days. You will get a tracking number by email the moment it ships, so you can watch it move.
Will I get a tracking number?
Yes, automatically, as soon as the parcel leaves the print floor. Check your spam folder if it hasn't turned up within a day of your shipping confirmation.
What if it doesn't fit, or I just don't love it?
Send it back within 30 days and we will sort it out. Wrong size, wrong colour, changed your mind, all fine. We would rather you had a shirt you actually wear.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Email us within 12 hours of ordering and we can almost always catch it before printing starts. After that the shirt already exists, but the 30-day return still covers you.
Do you ship outside the US?
Yes. International delivery takes longer and duties are set by your own country, not by us, so we cannot predict them. If you would like an estimate before ordering, email us and we will look it up.
How do I keep the print looking new?
Cold water, inside out, gentle detergent, tumble dry low or hang it up. No bleach, no fabric softener, and do not iron directly on the print. Garment-dyed cotton may bleed slightly on its first wash, so keep it away from anything pale.
Do you take design suggestions?
Constantly. If there is a bird you keep waiting for, or a line you have said out loud in a marsh, send it to us. A fair number of our designs started that way.
